We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel facilities were great, especially the onsen baths on the top floor. The location was perfect, right next to the main temple and very close to the Asakusa walking street. It was also pretty close to the Asakusa station on the Ginza line, making transportation easy. The breakfast was amazing, with a wide variety of delicious options. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with recommendations and making us feel welcome every day.

    Nothing for us.

The hotel's location is fantastic, with easy access to the subway station and temple. You can explore any part of the city with two subway lines. And on New Year's Eve, you'll be right next to Senso-Ji temple for a memorable experience. Rooms are clean and comfortable, equipped with useful amenities like hairdryers and tea makers.

The corridors had a strange smell, possibly due to the carpeted floors.

Great Location: The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet street, close to popular attractions and shops. It made exploring the area easy and enjoyable.

Room Size: The rooms at the hotel were quite small, which may be a drawback for those looking for more space.

The staff at Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu were incredibly accommodating and friendly. They went above and beyond to assist me with my luggage and even helped me arrange transportation to another ryokan. Communication was a breeze as they all spoke fluent English. The public bath was beautifully designed and provided a relaxing experience. The room, though small, was cozy and had efficient heating. The location was perfect, right next to Sensoji Temple and a short walk from Asakusa station. I highly recommend this ryokan for its excellent service and convenient location.

The hotel is located in a great area, very near the famous Sensoji temple in Asakusa. It's a touristy area but surprisingly quiet at night, allowing for peaceful rest. The traditional-style rooms are well-maintained, with attention to detail and stunning views of either the shrine or Tokyo Sky Tree. Also, the staff provides excellent service, ensuring a comfortable stay.

The temperature control in the room could be improved.

This quaint ryokan is nestled in the heart of Asakusa, very near Sensoji temple. You'll love the traditional Japanese ambiance and friendly staff. The shared baths are a great way to relax after a day of exploring. The Japanese breakfast is outstanding, and the location is perfect for visiting all the famous Asakusa attractions. Plus, the ryokan is conveniently located close to the Ueno JR stop, making it easy to explore other parts of the city.

The TV in the room may be a bit outdated, but who needs it when there's so much to see and do in the area?

I had a wonderful experience during my new year stay at this hotel. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a fantastic time. The location was perfect, situated right next to popular tourist attractions and within a quick walk to the subway. The authentic Japanese room was a highlight, providing a unique and immersive experience.

One drawback was that public transport in the area closed early, limiting the exploration of more central and trendy parts of the city. Additionally, the hotel's surroundings were quite lively during the day but relatively quiet at night.
